Puzzle Games As A Proper Brain Break
I used to think of puzzle games as filler, something to poke at while waiting. Playing Tile Tumble properly changed my mind a little. There's a real satisfaction in planning a chain reaction three moves ahead and watching it all cascade.
The best puzzle games find a sweet spot between mindless and demanding. Too easy and you drift off; too hard and it stops being relaxing. A good one keeps you gently engaged without stressing you out.
No-timer puzzlers are my favorite for this reason. Being able to stop mid-thought, put the phone down, and come back later fits how people actually use their phones. Timers turn a break into another chore.
If you want a puzzle habit that doesn't drain you, look for ones with special tiles or combo systems. That extra layer of planning is what keeps the loop fresh after the hundredth board.
